TENS and EMS Machines including preset and programmable programs.
Designed for assisting muscle stimulation and helping pain relief. Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is an advanced muscle exercise and toning technique.Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a non-invasive drug-free method of pain management across the skin. Model MH8000 fully digital has 30 preset programs. The MH6000 digital is the basic budget priced model.
TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. TENS is used to assist and help in pain relief, usually to relieve muscle pain, joint pain and back pain. TENS assists in pain relief without medicine. A TENS machine works by sending electric pulses into the nerves which causes nerve excitation. When most people talk about TENS and TENS machines they are usually talking about small portable battery operated units which usually come complete with electrode pads. These electrode pads adhere to the skin and connect to the TENS unit which creates the necessary electric current to stimulate muscles and numb the nerves. In real terms "TENS THERAPY" tells the brain that there is no more Pain.
Electrical Muscle Stimulation. This is also sometimes referred to as Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation or simply as Electrostimulation, EMS - Electrical Muscle Stimulation is the more common term used. EMS is similar to TENS in some ways because it involves passing an electrical current into the body via electrode pads. Many TENS machines also have EMS functions - for example the MH8000 and MH6000 models sold on this website combine TENS and EMS in one unit. EMS uses a much slower electrical pulse than TENS, and usually at a higher current. These slow electrical pulses cause the muscles to noticeably
contract and release. This contraction and release of muscles causes real strength and muscle build up, a bit like a passive exercise, some manufacturers of EMS machines market them as a body building or fat building tool, in reality the machine does all the work. EMS can build muscle but not usually to the extent increasing athletic performance.
We sell ultra modern hand held TENS machines, these high power compact TENS units can be hand-held, kept in the pocket or attached to the body by a waist strap. A hand held TENS machine gives you the flexibility of pain relief, while walking around, at work, relaxing at home or even in bed. The hand held portable machines are battery operated, so there is no risk from high current electric shock or electrocution. Our TENS units MH6000 and MH8000 work with 9 volt batteries. 9 Volts is more than sufficient to deliver strong TENS and EMS signals into the body (of course you can reduce the power) but a small 9 volts battery does not deliver enough power to be dangerous.
We are an Australian owned family business, offering TENS and EMS therapy equipment from our Australia-wide dealer and reseller network, direct from our head office in Brisbane.
